On the minimal speed of traveling waves for a nonlocal delayed reaction–diffusion equation [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Oscillations, 2010
In this note, we give constructive upper and lower bounds for the minimal speed of propagation of traveling waves for non-local delayed reaction-diffusion equation.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Traveling waves for SVIR epidemic model with nonlocal dispersal

open access: yesMathematical Biosciences and Engineering, 2019
In this paper, we studied an SVIR epidemic model with nonlocal dispersal and delay, and we find that the existence of traveling wave is determined by the basic reproduction number $\Re_0$ and minimal wave speed $c^*$.

Min-Max formulae for the speeds of pulsating travelling fronts in periodic excitable media

open access: yes, 2008
This paper is concerned with some nonlinear propagation phenomena for reaction-advection-diffusion equations in a periodic framework. It deals with travelling wave solutions of the equation $$u_t =\nabla\cdot(A(z)\nabla u) +q(z)\cdot\nabla u+ f(z,u), t ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Traveling Wave Solutions of a Reaction-Diffusion Equation with State-Dependent Delay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper is concerned with the traveling wave solutions of a reaction-diffusion equation with state-dependent delay. When the birth function is monotone, the existence and nonexistence of monotone traveling wave solutions are established.

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

A Comprehensive Overview of the Clinical, Electrophysiological, and Neuroimaging Features of BPAN: Insights From a New Case Series

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation (NBIA) comprises a genetically and clinically heterogeneous group of rare neurological disorders characterized particularly by iron accumulation in the basal ganglia. To date, 15 genes have been associated with NBIA.
