Traveling wave solutions for fully parabolic Keller-Segel chemotaxis systems with a logistic source

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
This article concerns traveling wave solutions of the fully parabolic Keller-Segel chemotaxis system with logistic source, $$\displaylines{ u_t=\Delta u -\chi\nabla\cdot(u\nabla v)+u(a-bu),\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^N,\cr \tau v_t=\Delta v-\lambda v +\mu ...

Wave Particle Cherenkov Interactions Mediated Via Novel Materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Currently there is an increasing interest in dielectric wall accelerators. These work by slowing the speed of an EM wave to match the velocity of a particle beam, allowing wave-beam interactions, accelerating the beam.

Microscopic models of traveling wave equations

open access: yes, 1999
Reaction-diffusion problems are often described at a macroscopic scale by partial derivative equations of the type of the Fisher or Kolmogorov-Petrovsky-Piscounov equation.

Enhancing Direct Solar Water Splitting via ALD of Multifunctional TiO2/Pt Nanoparticle Coatings With Engineered Interfaces to GaAs/GaInP Tandem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multifunctional atomic layer deposited coatings and interface treatments enhance direct solar water splitting on GaAs/GaInP tandem cells. Optimized TiO2/Pt nanoparticle bilayers ensure durability and catalytic efficiency with minimal optical losses, while H2 plasma pretreatments maximize photovoltage and interfacial charge extraction.

Fermionic Lorentz violation and its implications for interferometric gravitational-wave detection

open access: yes, 2017
The recent direct detection of gravitational waves reported by Advanced LIGO has inspired the current article. In this context, a particular Lorentz-violating framework for classical, massive particles is the focus.

THE MINIMAL SPEED OF TRAVELING WAVE SOLUTIONS FOR A DIFFUSIVE THREE SPECIES COMPETITION SYSTEM

open access: yesTaiwanese Journal of Mathematics, 2015
In this paper, we study the minimal speed of traveling wave solutions for a diffusive three species competition system. Our main concern is the linear determinacy for the minimal speed. We provide some conditions on the parameters of the competition system such that the linear determinacy is assured.

Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Prospects of Electric Field Control in Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions and Emerging 2D Spintronics for Ultralow Energy Memory and Logic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.

Traveling wave solutions of nonlocal delay reaction-diffusion equations without local quasimonotonicity

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
This article concerns the traveling wave solutions of nonlocal delay reaction-diffusion equations without local quasimonotonicity. The existence of traveling wave solutions is obtained by constructing upper-lower solutions and passing to a limit ...
