LncRNA SNHG6 promotes LMO3 expression by sponging miR-543 in glioma
Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, 2020Small nucleolar RNA host gene 6 (SNHG6) was a newly discovered long non-coding RNA, which was involved in the occurrence and development of a variety of cancers and was on the rise in human cancers. However, the molecular mechanism of SNHG6 in glioma required further investigation.

MiR-543 functions as tumor suppressor in ovarian cancer by targeting TWIST1.
JOURNAL OF BIOLOGICAL REGULATORS AND HOMEOSTATIC AGENTS, 2020MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been demonstrated to have promoting or inhibiting effects on the tumorigenesis of multiple cancers, including ovarian cancer (OC), by regulating its downstream target genes. In the presented experiment, our aim was to explore the role of miR-543 in OC cell proliferation and invasion. Results of quantitative reverse transcription-

miR-543 promotes gastric cancer cell proliferation by targeting SIRT1
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2016SIRT1, a class III histone deacetylase, exerts inhibitory effects on tumorigenesis and is downregulated in gastric cancer. However, the role of microRNAs in the regulation of SIRT1 in gastric cancer is still largely unknown. Here, we identified miR-543 as a predicted upstream regulator of SIRT1 using 3 different bioinformatics databases.

Down-regulation of the miR-543 alleviates insulin resistance through targeting the SIRT1
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2015Insulin resistance plays an important role in the development of hypertension, which is seriously detrimental to human health. Recently, Sirtuin-1 (SIRT1) has been found to participate in regulation of insulin resistance. Therefore, further studies focused on the SIRT1 regulators might provide a potential approach for combating insulin resistance and ...

MiR‐543 regulates myoblast proliferation and differentiation of C2C12 cells by targeting KLF6
Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, 2020AbstractMicroRNA‐543 (miR‐543) has been found to play a suppressive role in various human cancers in many studies, whereas the specific functions of miR‐543 in muscle development remain poorly understood. Here, we found that the expression of miR‐543 was high in skeletal muscle and increased during the differentiation of C2C12 cells.
