Clinical application study on miR-98–5p as a prognostic biomarker in hepatocellular carcinoma

Clinics and Research in Hepatology and Gastroenterology, 2023
On the one hand, to investigate the targeted regulation of miR-98-5p on heparin-binding epidermal growth factor-like growth factor (HBEGF) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). On the other hand, elucidate the predictive effect of miR-98-5p combined with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data on the clinical prognosis of HCC patients.Serum ...

Circ_0000527 Promotes Retinoblastoma Progression through Modulating miR-98-5p/XIAP Pathway

Current Eye Research, 2021
Purpose: Retinoblastoma (RB) is an intraocular malignancy that often occurs in childhood. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) play crucial roles in regulating the malignant phenotypes of various tumors. This study aimed to explore the role and potential mechanism of circ_0000527 in RB.Methods: The levels of circ_0000527, microRNA-98-5p (miR-98-5p) and X-linked ...

The upregulation of miR-98-5p affects the glycosylation of IgA1 through cytokines in IgA nephropathy

International Immunopharmacology, 2020
Increases in galactose-deficient IgA1 (Gd-IgA1) play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy (IgAN), and several recent experiments have shown that microRNAs (miRNAs) are involved in regulating the development and physiological function of the kidney.

LncRNA SNHG16 sponges miR-98-5p to regulate cellular processes in osteosarcoma

Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology, 2019
As has been illustrated that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs) are potential regulators in the occurrence and progression of human cancers. LncRNA SNHG16 has been identified as an oncogene involved in the progression of human cancers.

TMPO-AS1/miR-98-5p/EBF1 feedback loop contributes to the progression of bladder cancer

The International Journal of Biochemistry & Cell Biology, 2020
As reported in numerous studies, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) exert significant effect on the regulation of tumor development. LncRNA TMPO antisense RNA 1 (TMPO-AS1) has been confirmed to be implicated in the development of several cancers. However, its clinical significance is still largely unknown in bladder cancer (BCa).

Downregulation of miR‐98‐5p expression induces interleukin‐6 expression in rheumatoid fibroblast‐like synoviocytes

International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases, 2021
AbstractAimThe increased level of interleukin‐6 (IL‐6) plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Specific blockade of IL‐6 or its receptor has been used successfully in treating RA. MicroRNAs can regulate gene expression and act as regulators of target genes.

MiR-98-5p may be a Biomarker for Screening Bronchial Asthma in Children by Targeting IL-13

Clinical Laboratory, 2019
In the present study, we mainly focused on miR-98-5p, which is shown to be dysregulated in various diseases. However, whether miR-98-5p is increased in the serum of asthma patients has never been explored. The levels of miR-98-5p and IL-13 were determined in the serum of bronchial asthma children.

LncRNA NEAT1 aggravates lipopolysaccharide‐induced acute lung injury by regulating the miR‐98‐5p/TLR4 axis

Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, 2021
AbstractAlthough long noncoding RNA nuclear paraspeckle assembly transcript 1 (NEAT1) was reported to be associated with acute lung injury (ALI), its specific mechanism has not been well studied. Mouse and cell ALI models were constructed by lipopolysaccharide (LPS).

Oleanolic acid regulates the Treg/Th17 imbalance in gastric cancer by targeting IL-6 with miR-98-5p

Cytokine, 2021
Gastric cancer (GC) was a type of malignant tumor with a very high fatality rate. Oleanolic acid (OA) was a class of pentacyclic triterpenes which was proved to have anti-cancer activity. While the specific molecular mechanism of OA's role in inhibiting GC was not fully understood.

LINC00963 targeting miR-98-5p exacerbates sepsis-induced myocardial injury

Internal and Emergency Medicine
The aim is to investigate the value and mechanism of action of LINC00963 in septic cardiomyopathy (SCM). A total of 85 patients with cardiomyopathy (control group) and 108 SCM patients were enrolled. An in vitro model was created by treating cardiomyocytes with 1 μg/mL of LPS.
