Laplace‐Pressure‐Stabilized Rutile Solid‐Solution Catalysts for Acidic Water Oxidation: Enabling DSA‐Inspired Compositions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The miscibility of foreign elements in rutile‐type IrO2 and SnO2 is greatly enhanced under high Laplace pressure, where their crystal size is reduced to the nanoscale. This enhancement leads to the successful synthesis of DSA‐composition solid‐solution nanocatalysts with notable durability during the acidic OER in water electrolysis.

Application of Theoretical Solubility Calculations and Thermal and Spectroscopic Measurements to Guide the Processing of Triamcinolone Acetonide by Hot-Melt Extrusion

open access: yesPharmaceutics
Background/Objectives: Triamcinolone acetonide (TA), a poorly water-soluble corticosteroid, presents formulation challenges due to limited membrane permeability. This study aimed to identify suitable drug–polymer–plasticizer systems for TA using combined

Calculation of minimum miscibility pressure

open access: yesJournal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 1998
Abstract We describe and test a method for calculation of minimum miscibility pressure (MMP) that makes use of an analytical theory for one-dimensional, dispersion-free flow of multicomponent mixtures. The theory shows that in a displacement of an oil by a gas with nc components, the behavior of the displacement is ...

Additive Manufacturing of Ordered Polymer Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A new 3D printing strategy, Polymerization‐Induced Arrangement of Nanostructures with Order‐tunability (PIANO), enables the formation of ordered nanostructures in polymer materials by enhancing chain mobility during photopolymerization, overcoming the kinetic arrest that leads to disordered morphologies in the conventional Polymerization‐Induced ...

A Family of Sodium Solid‐State Electrolytes Based on the NaGaxAl1‐xCl4 Solid Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sodium‐based metal chloride solid electrolytes are promising for sodium solid‐state batteries due to their excellent oxidation stability, which, as shown for Li halides, can coexist with high ionic conductivity. To explore cationic substitution effects, we synthesized NaGaxAl1‐xCl4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) via ball milling and investigated structural and ...

Minimally Invasive Delivery of Optical Nanosensors Using Injectable Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Injectable peptide hydrogels offer a minimally invasive delivery platform for single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT)‐based near‐infrared fluorescent sensors, enabling real‐time measurement of drug concentrations. Encapsulated SWCNTs show a dose‐dependent fluorescence response across physiologically relevant concentrations and retain their fluorescence ...

Experimental study on the variation law of methanol solubility in methanol-refined oil mixtures

open access: yesYou-qi chuyun
ObjectiveMethanol, an emerging energy source, is vital for the energy transition. The batch transportation of methanol through refined oil pipelines reduce the long-distance methanol transportation cost and alleviate the low throughput of refined oil ...
