Visual Mismatch Negativity and Categorization [PDF]
Visual mismatch negativity (vMMN) component of event-related potentials is elicited by stimuli violating the category rule of stimulus sequences, even if such stimuli are outside the focus of attention. Category-related vMMN emerges to colors, and color-related vMMN is sensitive to language-related effects. A higher-order perceptual category, bilateral

Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the sensitivity of the 2023 American College of Rheumatology (ACR)/EULAR classification criteria for antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) in a real‐world cohort of women diagnosed with primary obstetric APS (oAPS) and to assess their ability to identify patients at risk of future pregnancy complications ...

Objective The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that multijoint osteoarthritis would modify the relation between time and frailty progression, in which more affected joints would lead to larger declines over six years compared to those without osteoarthritis using data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging.

Visual mismatch negativity in the dorsal stream is independent of concurrent visual task difficulty
The manipulation of attention can produce mismatch negativity-like components that are not necessarily connected to the unintentional sensory registration of the violation of probability-based regularity. For clinical purposes, attentional bias should be

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

[Mismatch negativity of patients with hydranencephaly].
We examined auditory evoked potentials and passive event-related potentials in two patients with hydranencephaly. In the middle latency response, a Na component was observed in both cases. Mismatch negativity was elicited in response to tone bursts and three patterns of vowel sounds in Patient 1, and three patterns of vowel stimuli in Patient 2.

Previous electrophysiological and psychophysical tests have suggested that somatosensory integration is abnormal in dystonia. Here, we hypothesised that this abnormality could relate to a more general deficit in pre-attentive error/deviant detection in patients with dystonia.
