Mathematical modelling and simulation of CSTR using MIT rule
2012 IEEE 5th India International Conference on Power Electronics (IICPE), 2012In industry nowadays the control of chemical process is important task. Mostly all the chemical processes are highly nonlinear in nature this causes instability of process. This paper presents the performance evaluation on the application of model reference adaptive control with various types of command inputs in a process plant. In the design of model

An Mit-Rule Adaptive Controller for Tracking Antenna Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1989Abstract Many of the current adaptive control techniques do not directly address the performance criteria required by precision servo tracking systems. Many rely on sufficient excitation of the process to converge to stable, useful, solutions that may still not satisfy the primary operating objectives of the process. Solutions requiring excitation do

Global stability for an MIT rule based adaptive control
Proceedings of the 28th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2003It is shown that a linear time-invariant system can be adaptively stabilized in the presence of unmodeled dynamics and bounded disturbances, using the MIT rule for adaptive control. The result implies that it is not necessary to use an identification-based approach to adaptive control in order to construct robust adaptive control algorithms.

Control of a Coupled CSTR Process using MRAC-MIT Rule
2019 Innovations in Power and Advanced Computing Technologies (i-PACT), 2019Chemical processes can be controlled using a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) in process industries. A CSTR is a highly non-linear system and this non-linearity makes the chemical process unstable. This proposed work deals with the temperature control of cascadedCSTR by implementing model reference adaptive control (MRAC) method based on MIT rule.

Quantitative Investigation of QRS Detection Rules Using the MIT/BIH Arrhythmia Database
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1986We have investigated the quantitative effects of a number of common elements of QRS detection rules using the MIT/BIH arrhythmia database. A previously developed linear and nonlinear filtering scheme was used to provide input to the QRS detector decision section. We used the filtering to preprocess the database.

Model Reference Adaptive Controller designs of steam turbine speed based on MIT Rule
2015 International Conference on Control Communication & Computing India (ICCC), 2015A Steam turbine is a device which extracts thermal energy from pressurized steam and uses it to do mechanical work on a rotating output shaft. The control of a turbine with a governor is essential, as turbines need to prevent damage and some applications like generation of alternating current electricity require precise speed control.

Adaptive control for motion synchronization of HA/EHA system by using modified MIT rule
2016 IEEE 11th Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA), 2016This paper presents a model reference adaptive control for dissimilar dual redundant actuation system that is a combination of hydraulic and electro-hydrostatic actuator. A modified form of MIT rule, called the normalized MIT rule, has been given to find the controller parameters.
