Cover crops affect soybean yield components, but not grain quality

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 114, Issue 6, Page 3193-3205, November/December 2022., 2022
Abstract Cover cropping is mainly used to prevent soil erosion, but the effects of individual cover crops on the subsequent soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] are hardly known. Therefore, two annual field trials with 15 cover crop species and bare fallow as control were conducted in semi‐arid East Austria in 2016 and 2017.

Strukturaufklärung, Totalsynthese, In‐Vivo‐Aktivität und Potentieller Biosyntheseweg des Neuen Myxobakteriellen Antibiotikums Corramycin**

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 134, Issue 51, December 19, 2022., 2022

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 134, Issue 51, December 19, 2022., 2022

Fossil Leaves of Meliosma (Sabiaceae) With Associated Pollen and a Eupodid Mite From the Eocene of Maoming Basin, South China

open access: yesFrontiers in Ecology and Evolution, 2022
A first occurrence of the genus Meliosma (Sabiaceae) is reported from the upper Eocene of the Maoming Basin of South China. This fossil is one of the oldest reliable records of the genus within its modern center of diversity.

The mighty mite [PDF]

open access: yesCurrent Biology, 2000
Rainforests are renowned as storehouses of terrestrial biodiversity, but many of the more astounding species are apparent only after the closest scrutiny. Here are a few of the roughly 2000 species of mite (Arachnida: Acari) that can be found in the subtropical rainforests of Lamington National Park in south-east Queensland, AustraliaFigure 1Figure 1 ...

Ecology and Evolution of Gall-Inducing Arthropods: The Pattern From the Terrestrial Fossil Record

open access: yesFrontiers in Ecology and Evolution, 2021
Insect and mite galls on land plants have a spotty but periodically rich and abundant fossil record of damage types (DTs), ichnotaxa, and informally described gall morphotypes.
