Wavelength‐Dependent Photobiomodulation Regulates Macrophage Polarization via Mitochondrial Dynamics and Metabolic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Light wavelength encodes distinct macrophage fates through mitochondrial and metabolic remodeling. Red 625 nm irradiation induces glycolysis, mitochondrial fission, and M1 polarization, whereas near‐infrared 850 nm irradiation promotes fatty acid oxidation, mitochondrial fusion, and M2 polarization.

Light‐Activated Isolation of High‐Quality Mitochondria for Therapeutic Transplantation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The Light‐Activated Mitochondrial Isolation (LAMI) platform enables the selective and non‐destructive isolation of high‐purity, metabolically active mitochondria. By integrating modular, ligand‐programmable magnetic probes with photo‐cleavable release, LAMI overcomes long‐standing limitations of conventional isolation methods and provides a robust ...

Refractory to treat Helicobacter cinaedi bacteremia with bilateral lower extremities cellulitis in an immunocompetent patient

open access: yesIDCases, 2016
Helicobacter cinaedi is known to cause bacteremia with multi-focal cellulitis, usually, among immunocompromised patients. We report here a 54-year-old Japanese man who was found to have bacteremia complicated with bilateral lower extremities cellulitis ...

PRMT9 Aggravated Dopaminergic Neurodegeneration in Parkinson's Disease Model by Facilitating the Degradation of DUSP26 and Inducing Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the pathological state of PD induced by MPP+, the upregulated PRMT9 in dopaminergic neurons translocates into mitochondrion and interacts with DUSP26 and catalyzes its arginine methylation, leading to the ubiquitin‐proteasomal degradation of DUSP26 mediated by Trim32.

Non-papillary serous cystadenoma of the epididymis associated with infected hydrocele of the testis: A case report

open access: yesHeliyon
A 50-year-old Japanese man with enlargement of the right scrotum was presented to our hospital. Preoperative examination confirmed a multilocular cyst with septa attached to the testis. Radical orchiectomy was performed. Pathological examination revealed

Protocol for Disome Profiling to Survey Ribosome Collision in Humans and Zebrafish

open access: yes
Ribosomes often encounter obstacles during translation elongation and thus collide with each other. Disome profiling, an optimized ribosome profiling method, specifically sequences the long ribosome footprints generated from collided ribosomes produced ...
