The Argania spinosa Mitogenome
Argania spinosa is one of the most important endemic species in Morocco and the only representative of the tropical family of Sapotaceae. It provides great ecological, pharmaceutical, and socioeconomic benefits for a dense human population in an arid zone located in the mid-western part of Morocco.

The complete mitogenome of Diaporthe nobilis [PDF]
The complete mitogenome of Diaporthe nobilis NIE8444 (KCTC No. 56710) isolated from alpine conifer Abies nephrolepis is determined by the Illumina Hiseq4000 platform in this study. This mitogenome consists of 67,437 bp length with 31.45% G + C content. A total of 51 genes were predicted in this mitogenome: 21 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNAs and 28 tRNAs.

Connecting Earth observation to high-throughput biodiversity data [PDF]
Understandably, given the fast pace of biodiversity loss, there is much interest in using Earth observation technology to track biodiversity, ecosystem functions and ecosystem services. However, because most biodiversity is invisible to Earth observation,

Deep Sequencing of Mixed Total DNA without Barcodes Allows Efficient Assembly of Highly Plastic Ascidian Mitochondrial Genomes [PDF]
Ascidians or sea squirts form a diverse group within chordates, which includes a few thousand members of marine sessile filter-feeding animals. Their mitochondrial genomes are characterized by particularly high evolutionary rates and rampant gene ...
