NSun2‐Mediated tsRNAs Alleviate Liver Fibrosis via FAK Dephosphorylation

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
NSun2 deficiency inhibited sinusoidal capillarization, alleviating liver fibrosis. Reduced NSun2 expression led to alterations in the functional tsRNAs tRF‐1‐S25 and tRF‐5‐V31, which regulate sinusoidal capillarization by targeting key proteins, including DUSP1 and FAK – crucial clinical targets – offering a novel RNA‐based therapeutic approach for ...

Sex‐related changes in lactate dehydrogenase A expression differently impact the immune response in melanoma

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Here, we explore a differential sex‐related metabolic‐immune relationship in melanoma. Melanoma tumours in male patients exhibit a higher LDH‐A‐driven production of lactate compared to their female counterparts. In turn, lactate acts as an immunosuppressive molecule, promoting pro‐tumoural Treg cells and suppressing anti‐tumoural CD8+ T‐cell activity ...

Differential Risk Factors for Early Intravesical Recurrence After Radical Nephroureterectomy for Upper Urinary Tract Carcinoma According to the History of Non‐Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urology, Volume 32, Issue 5, Page 567-574, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives To evaluate the preoperative risk factors for early intravesical recurrence after radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) in patients with upper urinary tract carcinoma (UTUC) according to the history of non‐muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC).

Selectivity and anti‐tumor immune elevation by vascular‐targeted photodynamic therapy of mouse orthotopic bladder cancer model

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Vascular‐targeted photodynamic therapy (VTP) using the photosensitizer WST11 is a non‐surgical tumor ablation approach. Light activation of WST11 leads to excessive generation of reactive oxygen species, which causes tumor vascular arrest, followed by destruction of tumor blood vessels and tumor necrosis.
