A Review on Mixed Matrix Membranes for Solvent Dehydration and Recovery Process

open access: yes, 2021
Solvent separation and dehydration are important operations for industries and laboratories. Processes such as distillation and extraction are not always effective and are energy-consuming.

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

PVA-Based Mixed Matrix Membranes Comprising ZSM-5 for Cations Separation

open access: yesMembranes, 2020
The traditional ion-exchange membranes face the trade-off effect between the ion flux and perm-selectivity, which limits their application for selective ion separation.

Natural gas purification by asymmetric membranes: An overview

open access: yesGreen Energy & Environment, 2021
Natural gas, as a very important source of energy and chemical feedstock, can be used in place of coal to lower net carbon dioxide emissions. Membrane separation technology is an attractive alternative for natural gas purification where the impurities ...

Mixed matrix membranes : a new platform for enzymatic reactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Glucose oxidase (GOx) was covalently bound onto Eupergit® C particles embedded in mixed matrix hollow fiber membranes prepared using polyethylene vinyl alcohol (EVAL) as the polymeric macroporous matrix. The Eupergit ® C particles were chemically modified with ethylenediamine and activated with glutaraldehyde, ground and fractionated into 20-40 and <

PEBAX-based mixed matrix membranes for post-combustion carbon capture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Polymeric membranes exhibit a trade-off between permeability and selectivity in gas separations which limits their viability as an economically feasible post-combustion carbon capture technology.

Mixed matrix membranes incorporated with size-reduced Cu-BTC for improved gas separation

open access: yes, 2013
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), with large surface area and selective gas adsorption capability, can be the promising additives in mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) for potential gas separation.

Synthesis and Characterisation of Self-Cleaning TiO2/PES Mixed Matrix Membranes in the Removal of Humic Acid

open access: yesMembranes, 2023
Membrane application is widespread in water filtration to remove natural organic matter (NOM), especially humic acid. However, there is a significant concern in membrane filtration, which is fouling, which will cause a reduction in the membrane life span,
