Review and Selection Strategy for High-Accuracy Modeling of PWM Converters in DCM

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2018
Among various modeling methods for DC-DC converters introduced in the past two decades, the state-space averaging (SSA) and the circuit averaging (CA) are the most general and popular exhibiting high accuracy.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

DGA-Models of variations of mixed Hodge structures

open access: yes, 2018
We define objects over Morgan's mixed Hodge diagrams which will be algebraic models of unipotent variations of mixed hodge structures over K\"ahler manifolds.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A “giant” pancreatic pseudocyst. A case report and literature review. [PDF]

open access: yesBatna Journal of Medical Sciences
Pancreatic pseudocysts (PPS) are potential sequelae that develop as a late complication in some patients after pancreatitis. Although it is common to encounter this entity, it is rare to find a "giant" form synonymous with a diameter measuring 10 cm ...

Mixed Cages

open access: yesGraphs and Combinatorics, 2019
We introduce the notion of a $[z, r; g]$-mixed cage. A $[z, r; g]$-mixed cage is a mixed graph $G$, $z$-regular by arcs, $r$-regular by edges, with girth $g$ and minimum order. In this paper we prove the existence of $[z, r ;g]$-mixed cages and exhibit families of mixed cages for some specific values.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
