Growth of mixed K2NixCo(1−x)(SO4)2 · 6H2O crystals for large supercooling without spontaneous crystallization in solution

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2019
A scheme for growing mixed K _2 Ni _x Co _(1−x) (SO _4 ) _2  · 6H _2 O (KCNSH) single crystals under conditions of supercooling at 5 °C–10 °C without spontaneous crystallization in solution for more than a month has been proposed and implemented.

DDX3X induces mesenchymal transition of endothelial cells by disrupting BMPR2 signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Elevated DDX3X expression led to downregulation of BMPR2, a key regulator of endothelial homeostasis and function. Our co‐immunoprecipitation assays further demonstrated a molecular interaction between DDX3X and BMPR2. Notably, DDX3X promoted lysosomal degradation of BMPR2, thereby impairing its downstream signaling and facilitating endothelial‐to ...

THE FORMATION MECHANISM OF ASSEMBLED COMPLEXES BRIDGED BY1,3–BIS(4–PYRIDYL)PROPANE [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry Journal of Moldova: General, Industrial and Ecological Chemistry, 2016
Several types of crystals having different color appeared in the synthesis of assembled complex of mixed crystals with three metals. [H2(bpp)][M(NCS)4] changed to 1D chain polymer (M(NCS)2(bpp)) by releasing HNCS from the cation and anion in a reaction ...

The Surface Plasmon Resonance Effect on the Defect-Mode Cholesteric Liquid Crystals Doped With Gold Nanoparticles

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
Cholesteric liquid crystals exhibit the characteristics of photonic crystals with a photonic bandgap. A defect-mode cholesteric liquid crystal module was assembled in this study, and laser dye and gold nanoparticles are mixed into this module.

Percolation model for structural phase transitions in Li$_{1-x}$H$_x$IO$_3$ mixed crystals

open access: yes, 2004
A percolation model is proposed to explain the structural phase transitions found in Li$_{1-x}$H$_x$IO$_3$ mixed crystals as a function of the concentration parameter $x$.

Engineering tandem VHHs to target different epitopes to enhance antibody‐dependent cell‐mediated cytotoxicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Tandem VHH targeting distinct EGFR epitopes were engineered into a monovalent bispecific antibody (7D12‐EGA1‐Fc) with more potent ADCC without increasing affinity to EGFR. Structural modeling of 7D12‐EGA1‐Fc showed cross‐linking of separate EGFR domains to enhance CD16a engagement on NK cells.

Excess current in point contacts on two-band superconductor MgB$_2$ in magnetic field

open access: yes, 2004
Series of $I(V)$ characteristic and bias-dependent differential resistance $dV/dI(V)$ for point-contacts on the single crystals of two-band superconductor MgB$_2$ were measured in magnetic field up to 9 T.

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

On the interpretation of the equilibrium magnetization in the mixed state of high-Tc superconductors

open access: yes, 2004
We apply a recently developed scaling procedure to the analysis of equilibrium magnetization M(H) data that were obtained for T-2212 and Bi-2212single crystals and were reported in the literature.

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...
