Rubisco function, evolution, and engineering [PDF]
Carbon fixation is the process by which CO2 is converted from a gas into biomass. The Calvin Benson Bassham (CBB) cycle is the dominant carbon fixation pathway on earth, driving >99.5% of the ~120 billion tons of carbon that are "fixed" as sugar, by plants, algae and cyanobacteria.

Asymptotic geometry of non-mixing sequences [PDF]
The exact order of mixing for zero-dimensional algebraic dynamical systems is not entirely understood. Here non-Archimedean norms in function fields of positive characteristic are used to exhibit an asymptotic shape in non-mixing sequences for algebraic $Z^2$-actions.

A note on equivalences between various mixing scales [PDF]
In this note, we provide with a simple example to show a defect in the definition of the geometric mixing scale, and then introduce an improved scale, called as the strong geometric mixing scale. The main theorem in this note is the equivalence between geometric mixing scale, strong geometric mixing scale and functional mixing scale, in the sense of ...

Mixed-norm Herz-slice Spaces and Their Applications [PDF]
We introduce mixed-norm Herz-slice spaces unifying classical Herz spaces and mixed-norm slice spaces, establish dual spaces and the block decomposition, and prove that the boundedness of Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator on mixed-norm Herz-slice spaces.

On mix-norms and the rate of decay of correlations [PDF]
Two quantitative notions of mixing are the decay of correlations and the decay of a mix-norm -- a negative Sobolev norm -- and the intensity of mixing can be measured by the rates of decay of these quantities. From duality, correlations are uniformly dominated by a mix-norm; but can they decay asymptotically faster than the mix-norm?

On embedding theorems of spaces of functions with mixed logarithmic smoothness [PDF]
The article considers the Lorentz space $L_{p,\tau}(\mathbb{T}^{m})$, $2\pi$ of periodic functions of many variables and spaces with mixed logarithmic smoothness. Equivalent norms of a space with mixed logarithmic smoothness are found and embedding theorems are proved.

Fractional integral operators on the mixed $λ$-central central Morrey spaces [PDF]
In this paper, the authors define the mixed $\lambda$-central Morrey spaces and the mixed $\lambda$-central $BMO$ spaces. The boundedness of the fractional integral operators $T_{\alpha}$ and its commutators $[b, T_{\alpha}]$ are established on the mixed $\lambda$-central Morrey spaces, respectively.

On the Quantification of Mixing in Microfluidics [PDF]
Methods for quantifying mixing in microfluidics have varied largely in the past, and various indices have been employed to represent the extent of mixing. Mixing between two or more colored liquids is usually quantified using simple mathematical functions operated over a sequence of images.

Decompositions of Local mixed Morrey-type spaces and Application [PDF]
In this paper, we obtain predual spaces of local mixed Morrey-type spaces, characterize mixed Hardy local Morrey-type spaces. Further also, investigate nonsmooth decomposition of local mixed Morrey-type spaces. As an application, we consider the Hardy operators on local mixed Morrey-type spaces.

Unstable particle mixing and CP violation in weak decays [PDF]
We discuss unstable particle mixing in CP-violating weak decays. It is shown that for a completely degenerate system unstable particle mixing does not introduce a CP-violating partial rate difference, and that when the mixings are small only the off-diagonal mixings are relevant.
