Blood pressure effects of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists: Mechanisms, trial evidence and Real‐world data

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists modestly lower blood pressure across diverse patient populations, including those without diabetes. These effects appear largely independent of glycaemic control and offer additive value in high‐risk patients with overlapping comorbidities.

The New World Health Organization Classification for Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasia

open access: yes, 2018
Based on the 2010 version, the 2017 World Health Organization (WHO 2017) classification is for pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (PanNEN). The WHO 2017 classification introduces the novel well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumor of high grade (NET G3).

Relationship between clinical characteristics and survival of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms: A single-institution analysis (1995–2012) in South China

open access: yesBMC Endocrine Disorders, 2012
Background Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm (GEP-NEN) is the most common type of neuroendocrine tumors accounting for 65–75% of neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs).

Редкое клиническое наблюдение пациента со смешанной нейроэндокринной-не-нейроэндокринной опухолью большого дуоденального соска

open access: yes, 2023
Background. Neuroendocrine tumors are rare neoplasias accounting for 1 % of all digestive malignancies. In 2010, mixed neuroendocrine-non-neuroendocrine neoplasms (MiNENs) were classified by the World Health Organization This type of tumor is extremely ...

Carbon Dots for Cancer Theranostics: Synthesis Strategies, Luminescence Properties, and Advances in Bioimaging‐Guided Diagnosis and Therapy

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Lighting up the path to precision oncology: This review comprehensively summarizes the rational design of carbon dots (CDs), elucidating how core size, surface chemistry, and heteroatom doping dictate their luminescence mechanisms. Special emphasis is placed on engineering NIR‐II emissive CDs for deep‐tissue imaging.

MUC1 as a Survival Effector of Radiotherapy‐Induced Epithelial Hybrid States in Basal‐Like Breast Cancer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
Basal‐like breast cancer (BLBC) is aggressive and often exhibits inherent or acquired resistance to radiotherapy (RT), a primary treatment option. RT resistance is underpinned by molecular alterations, many of which are poorly understood. Here, RT‐induced transcriptomic changes were analyzed using bulk and spatial sequencing in a BLBC mouse model and ...

Transcriptome‐Based Classification of Resected Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Enhances Prognostic Modelling Accuracy of Overall Survival Following Adjuvant Treatment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
Outcomes after resection of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma remain highly variable, and existing prognostic models lack sufficient accuracy. Here, the authors aimed to improve survival prediction by integrating transcriptome‐based subtyping into a validated clinical model and applying it to a multicenter real‐world cohort of fresh‐frozen resection ...

Complement C3 mediates adolescent social isolation‐induced hippocampal synaptic deficits and sex‐specific emotional dysfunction

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Adolescent social isolation disrupts hippocampal function and exacerbates emotional symptoms, with sex‐specific patterns, as shown by human studies. In mice, social isolation decreased hippocampal synaptic density and calcium signaling, upregulated complement proteins, and activated complement‐mediated microglial synaptic phagocytosis.
