Sarcopenia Is Associated With Mortality and Progression of Cirrhosis in Decompensated but Not Compensated Disease—A Multicentre Study

In a retrospective cohort of 1,624 adults with cirrhosis, sarcopenia was independently associated with unplanned hospitalization, death, and cirrhosis progression (or death) in patients with decompensated disease. In compensated cirrhosis, sarcopenia was associated only with a higher risk of unplanned hospitalization.

This scoping review consolidated research on genetic health practitioners' (GHPs) and direct to consumer genetic testing (DTC‐GT) consumer needs and identified gaps. Thematic analysis identified four domains: GHPs' views, GHPs' perceptions of the impact of DTC‐GT on consumers, how DTC‐GT impacted services and how DTC‐GT impacted roles.

A serum and cream moisturization regimen outperforms separate use in sustaining hydration, reducing TEWL, and balancing surface lipids over an 8‐h study

Over 8 h, using a Hyaluronic Acid Serum in combination with a Moisturizing Cream sustained skin hydration more than either product alone, while lowering TEWL and normalizing surface lipids. Delphi consensus: First‐line use of biologics and small molecules in hidradenitis suppurativa
