Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Arbitrary Placement of Secondary Nodes, and Error Control, in the Meshless Local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) Method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The truly meshless local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) method holds a great promise in solving boundary value problems, using a local symmetric weak form as a natural approach.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

ML-AQP: Query-Driven Approximate Query Processing based on Machine Learning

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
As more and more organizations rely on data-driven decision making, large-scale analytics become increasingly important. However, an analyst is often stuck waiting for an exact result. As such, organizations turn to Cloud providers that have infrastructure for efficiently analyzing large quantities of data.

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

How to Achieve Kronecker Delta Condition in Moving Least Squares Approximation along the Essential Boundary [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A novel way is proposed to fulfill Kronecker delta condition in moving least squares (MLS) approximation along the essential boundary. In the proposed scheme, the original MLS weight is modified to boundary interpolatable (BI) weight based on the ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Numerical approximation of a generalized time fractional partial integro-differential equation of Volterra type based on a meshless method

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
The moving least squares (MLS) approximation is used in this study to solve time-fractional partial integro-differential equations (TFPIDE). In our approach, we approximate the time Caputo fractional derivative term and the integral term by using a ...

Approximate Linear Time ML Decoding on Tail-Biting Trellises in Two Rounds [PDF]

open access: yes2006 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2006
A linear time approximate maximum likelihood decoding algorithm on tail-biting trellises is prsented, that requires exactly two rounds on the trellis. This is an adaptation of an algorithm proposed earlier with the advantage that it reduces the time complexity from O(mlogm) to O(m) where m is the number of nodes in the tail-biting trellis.
