Dynamic Testing and Finite Element Model Adjustment of the Ancient Wooden Structure Under Traffic Excitation

open access: yesBuildings
In situ dynamic testing is conducted to study the dynamic characteristics of the wooden structure of the North House main hall. The velocity response signals on the measurement points are obtained and analyzed using the self-interaction spectral method ...

Dynamic Parameter Identification of Hydrodynamic Bearing-Rotor System

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2015
A new method called modal parameter genetic time domain identification was employed to study the characteristics of the bearing-rotor system. A multifrequency signal decomposition technology to identify the main components of the measured signal and ...

Improvement of ITD Algorithm Based on Modal Parameter Identification [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2017
The pre-processing and system order determination of Intrinsic Time-scale Decomposition(ITD) algorithm involve some human factors, which causes error on extraction of modal parameters, and ITD algorithm is also sensitive to noise. To solve these problems,an

Short-Term Wind Speed Forecasting Based on the EEMD-GS-GRU Model

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2023
To improve the accuracy of short-term wind speed forecasting, we proposed a Gated Recurrent Unit network forecasting method, based on ensemble empirical mode decomposition and a Grid Search Cross Validation parameter optimization algorithm. In this study,

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Output-Only Modal Parameter Recursive Estimation of Time-Varying Structures via a Kernel Ridge Regression FS-TARMA Approach

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2017
Modal parameter estimation plays an important role in vibration-based damage detection and is worth more attention and investigation, as changes in modal parameters are usually being used as damage indicators.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Prediction of Modal Parameters of Linear Time-Varying Systems [PDF]

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2010
Many engineering structures, such as cranes, traffic-excited bridges, flexible mechanisms and robotic devices exhibit characteristics that vary with time and are referred to as time-varying or nonstationary. In particular, linear time-varying (LTV) systems have been often dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
