Experimental Determination of Natural Frequencies of Prestressed Suspension Bridge Model
A suspension bridge is the most suitable type for a long-span bridge. Increased kinematic displacements are the major disadvantage of suspension bridges. This problem can be solved by application of prestressed cable truss.

On complex mode shapes and their identification
Abstract In experimental modal analysis, proportional damping is a convenient simplification that allows practitioners to fit their data to a model. However, this simplification seriously reduces the number of free parameters for fitting, and some systems may be misrepresented by the assumption of proportional damping.

Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Standard deviation as a suitable criterion for localizing damages in Nano- composite structures
Wavelet transform is a proper method for detecting damages in signals such as vibration mode shapes. This study introduces the standard deviation as a suitable criterion for selecting and analyzing wavelet function in damage detection of nano-laminated ...

Participation factor based identification of mode shapes
In practical vibration analysis, the identification of mode shapes in an operational deflection shape is a common problem. Based on modal-superposition theory, there is always a summation of several mode shapes involved.

Correlation between analytical result and experimental results of mode shapes
Typically, even though natural frequencies obtained by analytical and experimental methods are compared quantitatively, mode shapes are compared only qualitatively.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
