Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Quality-Driven Detection and Resolution of Metamodel Smells
In model-driven engineering, analogously to any software development practice, metamodel design must be accurate and performed by considering relevant quality factors, including maintainability, reusability, and understandability.

Semantic model driven engineering
Semantic interoperability is a concern in the design and implementation of modern information systems. Whenever two systems communicate it is important that they share an adequate, common interpretation of any information transferred. Similarly, whenever data created or ac- quired in one context is used in another, it is important that the provenance ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A survey on modeling and model-driven engineering practices in the embedded software industry
Software-intensive embedded systems have become an essential aspect of our lives. To cope with its growing complexity, modeling and model-driven engineering (MDE) are widely used for analysis, design, implementation, and testing of these systems. Since a

Towards Human-centric Model-driven Software Engineering
: Many current software systems suffer from a lack of consideration of the human differences between end users. This includes age, gender, language, culture, emotions, personality, education, physical and mental challenges, and so on.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
