Using causal machine learning, we estimated the causal effect of meeting government guidelines on physical activity on psychological distress in young people. Whilst observing no overall impact, we did identify some groups who benefit relatively more from meeting the physical activity guidelines, including males.

Testing Multiplicative Error Models Using Conditional Moment Tests [PDF]
We suggest a robust form of conditional moment test as a constructive test for func- tional misspecification in multiplicative error models. The proposed test has power solely against violations of the conditional mean restriction but is not affected by ...

ABSTRACT The ability of organisms to effectively respond to challenges is critical for survival. We investigated how an acute stressor affected corticosterone, mitochondrial function, and DNA oxidative damage in a wild population of Leach's storm‐petrels (Hydrobates leucorhous).

Undersmoothing Causal Estimators With Generative Trees
Average causal effects are averages of (heterogeneous) individual treatment effects (ITEs) taken over the entire target population. The estimation of average causal effects has been studied in depth, but averages are insufficient for more individualised ...

Hidden Markov Quantile Models With Trends for Analysing Air Temperature Data
There is the question of whether climate change, expressed by time‐trends in temperature, is of a heterogeneous nature or not. Here, the time‐trend heterogeneity argument has been investigated using Hidden Markov (HM) quantile time‐trends models in temperature time series.

How Do Investors React to Supplier Exploitation? Event Study and Experimental Evidence
ABSTRACT Supplier exploitation, including financial squeezing, payment delays, and non‐contractual demands, is a pervasive form of corporate misconduct. This multi‐method study examines how investors interpret supplier exploitation amid competing ethical and financial considerations.
