Understanding Functional Materials at School

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review outlines strategies for effectively teaching nanoscience in schools, focusing on challenges such as scale comprehension and curriculum integration. Emphasizing inquiry‐based learning and chemistry core concepts, it showcases hands‐on activities, digital tools, and interdisciplinary approaches.

Topology induced first-order phase transitions in lattice quantum gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Causal Dynamical Triangulations (CDT) is a lattice formulation of quantum gravity, suitable for Monte-Carlo simulations which have been used to study the phase diagram of the model.

Self‐Assembled Heterosymmetric Structure with Tunable Polarization Optics for Reversible Matrix Encryption

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sustainable films with heterosymmetric structures, harmoniously integrating symmetry and asymmetry, are fabricated using cellulose nanocrystals and hydrophilic nanolignin via evaporation‐induced self‐assembly, which exhibit excellent multiple polarization optical properties.

A solvable model of flat space holography

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We propose an explicit realization of flat space holography in two dimensions where both sides of the duality are independently defined and the boundary theory is completely solvable.

Functional Materials for Environmental Energy Harvesting in Smart Agriculture via Triboelectric Nanogenerators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores functional and responsive materials for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) in sustainable smart agriculture. It examines how particulate contamination and dirt affect charge transfer and efficiency. Environmental challenges and strategies to enhance durability and responsiveness are outlined, including active functional layers ...

Spikes and spines in 4D Lorentzian simplicial quantum gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Simplicial approaches to quantum gravity such as quantum Regge calculus and spin foams include configurations where bulk edges can become arbitrarily large while the boundary edges are kept small.

Some solutions for one of the cosmological constant problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We propose several covariant models which may solve one of the problems in the cosmological constant. One of the model can be regarded as an extension of sequestering model. Other models could be regarded as extensions of the covariant formulation of the

3D‐Printed Soft Magnetoactive Origami Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Soft magnetoactive films are 3D‐printed using ink with up to 75 wt.% ferromagnetic particles and dual UV/heat curing, then integrated with various origami structures. The films are flexible, magnetically responsive, and programmable, enabling flexible integration with origami without hindering shape‐changeability.

What is the curvature of 2D Euclidean quantum gravity?

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We re-examine the nonperturbative curvature properties of two-dimensional Euclidean quantum gravity, obtained as the scaling limit of a path integral over dynamical triangulations of a two-sphere, which lies in the same universality class as Liouville ...

Off-shell unimodular N = 1, d = 4 supergravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We formulate a unimodular N = 1, d = 4 supergravity theory off shell. We see that the infinitesimal Grassmann parameters defining the unimodular supergravity trans- formations are constrained and show that the conmutator of two infinitesinal unimodular ...
