Electrochemical studies on reconstituted horseradish peroxidase modified carbon paste electrodes

Bioelectrochemistry, 2002
Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is a heme protein that acts specifically on H(2)O(2) as the electron acceptor. Hemin (Ferriprotoporhyrin-IX) is the prosthetic group of the enzyme. A direct molecular wire to the redox center of the enzyme is expected to enhance the electrochemical response of the enzyme.

Pyranose Oxidase Modified Carbon Paste Electrodes for Monosaccharide Determination

Electroanalysis, 1998
An amperometric biosensor for the detection of some monosaccharides was developed with co-immobilized pyranose oxidase (purified from the basidiomycete fungus Phanerochaete chrysosporium) and horseradish peroxidase in carbon paste. Due to rather low selectivity of pyranose oxidase, the biosensor could detect both predominating anomers of D-glucose as ...

Hemoglobin Modified Carbon Paste Electrode: Direct Electrochemistry and Electrocatalysis

Analytical Letters, 2008
Abstract A new hemoglobin (Hb) modified carbon paste (CP) electrode was fabricated by simply mixing the hemoglobin with carbon powder and paraffin homogeneously. To prevent the leakage of Hb from the electrode surface, a Nafion film was further applied on the surface of Hb-carbon composite paste electrode.

Determination of phenylephrine with a modified carbon paste electrode

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1995
Abstract An anodic stripping voltammetric method for determination of phenylephrine with a modified carbon paste electrode is developed. The modified carbon paste electrode was prepared with carbon paste mixed with a cation exchange resin containing the functional group CO2Na. Linear scan voltammetry was used for the electrochemical measurements. The

Carbon paste electrodes modified with enzymes, tissues, and cells

Electroanalysis, 1995
AbstractA review is presented dealing with the use of carbon paste amperometric electrodes for electroanalytical purposes, with either the surface or the bulk being modified with biologically derived material such as enzymes, tissues, and cells. It covers virtually all the publications which have appeared from the very first enzyme‐modified carbon ...
