Modified Johnson-Cook model for vehicle body crashworthiness simulation
International Journal of Vehicle Design, 1999Dynamic response prediction of vehicle bodies is important for vehicle crashworthiness evaluation. The dynamic behaviour of vehicle body materials is dependent on material strain rates. One of the typical high strain rate tensile tests is the split Hopkinson bar test.

Freeze-thaw stability of rice starch modified by Improved Extrusion Cooking Technology
Carbohydrate Polymers, 2016This study aimed to explore freeze-thaw (FT) stability of rice starch modified by Improved Extrusion Cooking Technology (IECT). FT stability of IECT-modified rice starch was investigated and compared with native one. Syneresis and SEM analysis showed that IECT-modified rice starch had better FT stability than native starch.

Properties of wheat and hulless barley flours modified by extrusion cooking [PDF]
Flours obtained by extrusion cooking and posterior milling of the extruded products can be used in starch - based recipes, allowing for the change of functionality of native flours. The objective of this research was to determine the effect of extrusion and different barrel temperatures in the die section (90, 100 and 110 °C) on the properties of two ...

Measurement of Cooked Noodle Stickiness Using a Modified Instrumental Method
Cereal Chemistry, 2002ABSTRACTStickiness of cooked noodles, generally defined as a maximum force in tension after compression, depends on the compression force, contact area, and physical properties of the noodles. In the conventional method of measuring stickiness, only compression force was set as a standard, neglecting the other probable influencing factors.

Shelf life of modified atmosphere packed cooked meat products: a predictive model
International Journal of Food Microbiology, 1999The effect of temperature, concentration of dissolved CO2 and water activity on the growth of Lactobacillus sake was investigated by developing predictive models for the lag phase and the maximum specific growth rate of this specific spoilage organism for gas-packed cooked meat products.

CHARACTERIZATION OF BITUMEN PROPERTIES INCORPORATING USED COOKING OIL AS A MODIFIER
Malaysian Journal of Civil EngineeringThe investigation of waste-derived resources as modifiers for asphalt binders has been prompted by the growing need for high-performance and sustainable paving materials. Among these, used cooking oil (UCO) has attracted considerable interest because it can improve binder properties while also addressing environmental issues related to waste disposal ...

Protective role of cooked rice modified with complex enzymes on chronic disease in mice
Food ChemistryCooked rice granules were modified by β-amylase (BA), transglucosidase (TG) and pullulanase (PUL). The results indicated that liver and kidney indexes of diabetic mice (DC) fed by cooked BA/TG/PUL-modified rice (BA/TG/PUL-MR) decreased by 10.97 and 8.28 %, respectively, whereas spleen index increased by 20 %.

Cooked ham microbiota packed in modified atmosphere
201715 cooked ham (CH) unflawed samples were analyzed at the beginning and at the end of the shelf-life, while 7 flawed ones were processed only at the date of shipment. Cultivable bacteria on MRS were clusterized through RAPD-PCR Each biotype was identified through amplification of 16S sequences.
