Bavarian Nordic is developing IMVAMUNE, which is based on a live attenuated modified vaccinia Ankara virus, for the potential prevention of smallpox infection, particularly in those patients contraindicated to traditional smallpox vaccines, such as the immunocompromised and those with eczema or dermatitis.
