Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Unitary Differential Space–Time Modulation With Joint Modulation
We develop two new designs of unitary differential space-time modulation (DSTM) with low decoding complexity. Their decoder can be separated into a few parallel decoders, each of which has a decoding search space of less than sqrt(N) if the DSTM codebook contains N codewords.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

International audienceWe state conjectures on the asymptotic behavior of the Masur-Veech volumes of strata in the moduli spaces of meromorphic quadratic differentials and on the asymptotics of their area Siegel-Veech constants as the genus tends to ...

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Power Distribution in Transmissions of Forestry and Transport Wheeled Vehicles
The article presents arguments in favor of creating controlled center differentials adapted for use in transmissions of forestry and transport wheeled vehicles, the principles for determining their parameters, and approaches to design.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules and the quasihomogeneity of isolated Cohen-Macaulay singularities
We conjecture that a complete isolated Cohen-Macaulay singularity of dimension ≥ 2 \geq 2 is graded if and only if sufficiently high syzygy modules of the residue field and of the transpose of the module of Kähler ...
