Molecular imprinted polymer combined with aptamer (MIP-aptamer) as a hybrid dual recognition element for bio(chemical) sensing applications. Review.

Talanta: The International Journal of Pure and Applied Analytical Chemistry, 2022
The development of diagnostic devices based on memetic molecular recognitions are becoming highly promising due to high specificity, sensitivity, stability, and low-cost comparing to natural molecular recognition.

Recognition in the Domain of Molecular Chirality: From Noncovalent Interactions to Separation of Enantiomers.

Chemical Reviews, 2022
It is not a coincidence that both chirality and noncovalent interactions are ubiquitous in nature and synthetic molecular systems. Noncovalent interactivity between chiral molecules underlies enantioselective recognition as a fundamental phenomenon ...

Molecular Recognition Features in Zika Virus Proteome.

Journal of Molecular Biology, 2017
Viruses have compact genomes that encode limited number of proteins in comparison to other biological entities. Interestingly, viral proteins have shown natural abundance of either completely disordered proteins that are recognized as intrinsically ...

Polyvalent Carbocyanine Molecular Beacons for Molecular Recognitions

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2004
Polyvalent carboxylate-terminating near-infrared (NIR) carbocyanine molecular beacons were prepared by homologation of reactive carboxyl groups of the beacon with imino diacetic acid. Their conjugation with unprotected d-(+)-glucosamine gave dendritic arrays of the carbohydrate on an inner NIR chromophore core.

Complexity in molecular recognition

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2011
The anomer selectivity of artificial carbohydrate receptors was studied using in silico methods in order to shed light on the thermodynamic driving forces at work during molecular recognition in general. The contributions of relevant intermolecular hydrogen bonds were investigated by means of generalized compliance constants in order to dissect ...

Oligosaccharides in molecular recognition

Biochemical Society Transactions, 1988
Summary The development, organization and growth of complex organisms as well as their interactions with the environment involve an intricate array of molecular recognition events. There is an increased awareness of the involvement of oligosaccharides in many of these processes.

DNA–psoralens molecular recognition using molecular dynamics

Il Farmaco, 1999
Furocoumarins are an important class of compounds for photochemotherapy used in the treatment of numerous diseases characterised by hyperproliferative conditions. Their photosensitising activity has been related to the ability to form covalent linkage with the pyrimidine bases of DNA upon UV-A irradiation.
