Deflection of Steel Reinforced Concrete Beam Prestressed With CFRP Bar
Carbon Fiber Reinforced polymer (CFRP) bars are weak in yielding property which results in sudden failure of structure at failure load. Inclusion of non-pretensioned steel reinforcement in the tension side of CFRP based prestressed concrete beam will ...

Accelerated expansion of the Crab Nebula and evaluation of its neutron-star parameters [PDF]
A model of an accelerated expansion of the Crab Nebula powered by the spinning-down Crab pulsar is proposed, in which time dependence of the acceleration is connected with evolution of pulsar luminosity.

Constraining the Equation of State with Moment of Inertia Measurements [PDF]
We estimate that the moment of inertia of star A in the recently discovered double pulsar system PSR J0737-3039 may be determined after a few years of observation to something like 10% accuracy.

Neutron stars and quark stars are not only characterized by their mass and radius, but also by how fast they spin, through their moment of inertia, and how much they can be deformed, through their Love number and quadrupole moment.

A 3D printed wheel with constant mass and variable moment of inertia for lab and demonstration
We present a versatile experimental apparatus for exploring rotational motion through the interplay between the moment of inertia, torque and rotational kinetic energy.

Relation between the moment of inertia and moments of density [PDF]
The moment of inertia of a physical system exhibiting irrotational flow is expressed as a series expansion in terms of the moments of the density distribution. The lowest-order contribution yields a simple relation with the quadrupole moment and is applicable to models of classical and quantum systems.

ABSTRACT Background Survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often exhibit early deficits in muscle and movement competence, which can compromise long‐term health. Integrative neuromuscular training (INT), a multifaceted approach combining fundamental movement activities with strength exercises, may help address these deficits during ...

Observation of a quenched moment of inertia in a rotating strongly interacting Fermi gas
We make a model-independent measurement of the moment of inertia of a rotating, expanding strongly-interacting Fermi gas. Quenching of the moment of inertia is observed for energies both below and above the superfluid transition.
