[Repair of recent canalicular wounds using a monocanalicular stent].
Bulletin des societes d'ophtalmologie de France, 1990A new monocanalicular stent is described, which is used in cases of lacrimal canalicular injuries, associated with direct sutures of the canalicular wall. When injuries occur on proximal portion (2/3) of the canaliculus, a true monocanalicular stent is used, without intubation of the vertical part of lacrimal system.

Use of a modified monocanalicular silicone stent in 33 eyelids.
Ophthalmic surgery and lasers, 1997To determine (1) whether a modified monocanalicular silicone stent fixated to the peripunctal tissues by a 6-0 polypropylene suture is a practical alternative to bicanalicular intubation for canalicular reconstruction, and (2) whether this technique is superior to previously described methods of monocanalicular intubation. The charts of patients from ...

Monocanalicular Stents in Eyelid Lacerations: A Report by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Ophthalmology, 2020To determine the efficacy and complication rates of monocanalicular stents in the setting of canalicular lacerations.A literature search was performed in May 2018 in the PubMed database to identify all English-language reports of monocanalicular stenting to address canalicular lacerations. Studies that did not include at least 10 patients with at least
