This study explores how sepsis affects GC progression by creating an immunosuppressive environment. Our findings reveal that sepsis promotes immune dysregulation, enhancing tumor growth and metastasis. Targeting the PD‐1/PD‐L1 pathway with monoclonal antibodies shows potential for restoring immune function and improving outcomes in cancer patients ...

Using mass cytometry, we analyzed serial blood samples from patients with relapsed epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) treated with oleclumab–durvalumab combination immunotherapy in the NSGO‐OV‐UMB1/ENGOT‐OV30 trial. Our analysis identified potential predictive, monitoring, and response biomarkers detectable through liquid biopsy. These findings facilitate

The study evaluated the function and therapeutic implications of PRAME in basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The findings demonstrate that PRAME impairs keratinocyte differentiation pathways. Furthermore, PRAME impairs anticancer response to retinoid compounds in BCC and SCC cells.

How is the Monoclonal Antibodies Kinetic Affected by Changes of Their Physical Parameters? [PDF]
The study of monoclonal antibodies (MAb) is a field of great interest to science medicine, for example, anti-TNF agents (infliximab and adalimumab) represent an important tool for the management of autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. In this work we focus on the physical description of the transport kinetics of MAb in a fluid with laminar flow and ...

Engineering a Molecular Missile for Pancreatic Cancer Detection: Vector Design [PDF]
Pancreatic cancer, though rare, is expected to be the second-leading cause of cancer-related death by 2030 (Rahib et al., 2014). CA 19-9 is currently the most widely used biomarker for pancreatic cancer detection, but detection of CA 19-9 relies on the ...

Low expression of five purine metabolism‐related genes (ADSL, APRT, ADCY3, NME3, NME6) was correlated with poor survival in colorectal cancer. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that low NME3 (early stage) and low ADSL/NME6 (late stage) levels were associated with high risk.

Topological AI forecasting of future dominating viral variants [PDF]
The understanding of the mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 evolution and transmission is one of the greatest challenges of our time. By integrating artificial intelligence (AI), viral genomes isolated from patients, tens of thousands of mutational data, biophysics, bioinformatics, and algebraic topology, the SARS-CoV-2 evolution was revealed to be governed by ...
