Ultrasonicated Synthesis of N-Benzyl-2,3-substituted Morpholines, via the Mitsunobu Diol Cyclisation

open access: yesE-Journal of Chemistry, 2010
A facile five step synthesis of N-benzyl-2,3-substituted morpholines (i-iii) was performed. The key steps were microwave assisted Friedel-crafts acylation and diol cyclization carried out via an ultra sonication of Mitsunobu reaction using DEAD ...

Determination of antimicrobial activity of some 1,2,4-triazole derivatives

open access: yesRegulatory Mechanisms in Biosystems, 2018
We carried out MIC of the derivatives of 1,2,4-triazole II (4-((5-nitrofuran-2-yl)methyleneamino)-1-propyl-4H-1,2,4-triazolium bromide) and I (N-((5-nitrofuran-2-yl)methylene)-4H-4-amino-1,2,4-triazolidium chloride) against Escherichia coli ATCC 3912/4 ...

Regiodivergent C3 and C4 Amination of Quinolines via Radical and Ionic Pathways

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A regiodivergent strategy converts a single N‐aminoquinolinium precursor into either C3‐ or C4‐aminated quinolines. Nucleophile‐induced dearomatization diverges into light‐driven N‐centered radical capture (C3) or base‐promoted SNAr (C4), enabling rapid assembly of aminoquinoline libraries and late‐stage diversification.

Semi‐Reduction of Allenes to Access Deuterated Allylic Isotopomers, Isotopologs and Enantioisotopomers

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Modular and Precise Deuteration: The synthesis of molecules precisely deuterated at allylic, vinylic or both positions remains a challenging task. This work discloses a modular semi‐reductive deuteration that enables the synthesis of various isotopologs including precisely labeled d1‐, d2‐, d3‐, d5‐, and d7‐products.

Reductive Fragmentation of Tetrazoles: Mechanistic Insights and Applications toward the Stereocontrolled Synthesis of 2,6-Polysubstituted Morpholines.

open access: yesOrganic Letters, 2019
A new methodology to synthesize 2,6-di-, and 2,2',6-trisubstituted morpholines via the reduction of oxabicyclic tetrazoles under mild conditions is described.

Systematically Engineering for Efficient Production of 3‐Methyl‐1‐Butanol in Escherichia coli

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated metabolic engineering strategy was established for high‐level 3‐methyl‐1‐butanol biosynthesis in Escherichia coli. Molecular dynamics‐guided semi‐rational engineering of dihydroxyacid dehydratase uncovered and relieved key catalytic bottlenecks, while adaptive laboratory evolution enhanced strain robustness.

Beetles “in red”: are the endangered flat bark beetles Cucujus cinnaberinus and C. haematodes chemically protected? (Coleoptera: Cucujidae)

open access: yesThe European Zoological Journal, 2018
Two native species of the genus Cucujus show a wide geographic distribution in Europe, Cucujus cinnaberinus (Scopoli, 1763) and C. haematodes Erichson, 1845.

One-Step Synthesis of Diaza Macrocycles by Rh(II)-Catalyzed [3 + 6 + 3 + 6] Condensations of Morpholines and α-Diazo-β-ketoesters.

open access: yesOrganic Letters, 2019
Selective formation of oxonium ylides from morpholines and α-diazo-β-ketoesters was achieved. This was applied to the high-concentration (0.5 M) dirhodium-catalyzed (0.1 mol %) [3 + 6 + 3 + 6] synthesis of 18-membered ring diaza macrocycles (46%-72 ...

Dual Effect of Steric Hindrance in Non‐Aqueous Amine Absorbents: Navigating the Trade‐Off Between Kinetics and Thermodynamics for Efficient CO2 Capture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study elucidates how steric hindrance in amines creates a dual effect in CO2 capture: it thermodynamically favors the reaction by shifting the pathway from carbamate to alkyl carbonate formation, increasing capacity and lowering regeneration heat, while simultaneously slightly slowing the kinetics.
