Viruses in mosaic affected figs in Portugal and the island of Crete.

open access: yes, 2009
Leaf samples from mosaic-diseased fig trees collected in Evoria (Portugal) and Chania (island of Crete, Greece) were examined for the presence of viruses by electron microscopy and RT/PCR. Misalignment in Carbon Credit Programmes: Insights From Producer Preferences for Cover Crop and No‐Till Contracts

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the factors influencing producer adoption of cover cropping and no‐till farming, two key carbon sequestration practices, within the context of voluntary carbon credit programmes (CCPs) in Kansas. Russian wheat aphid: a model for genomic plasticity and a challenge to breeders

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
Invasive foundress finds suitable habitat and reproduces through pathogenesis. Wingless females produce life offspring quickly, which leads to high population densities. High population densities result in competition, which may induce epigenetic changes and wing development for dispersal.

Hemipteran vectors of stylet‐borne plant viruses: Aphids lead the charge

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
Among all sap‐feeding hemipterans, aphids stand out by far as the most important vectors of noncirculative plant viruses. Compared to whiteflies and mealybugs, aphids’ highly specialized stylet anatomy and distinct feeding behaviors contribute, together with other features of their biology, to their remarkable efficiency in transmitting stylet‐borne ...

Assessing the clinical value of cervical biopsies in individuals with transformation zone type 3 at colposcopy: A cross‐sectional study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
In transformation zone type 3, a systematic multiple biopsy protocol improved CIN2+ detection, particularly in high‐grade referrals, whereas yield remained limited in low‐grade referral cases. DSI‐assisted colposcopy did not increase biopsy sensitivity’.
