The ubiquitin system in normal and infected germinal center B cells
The ubiquitin system plays a central role in germinal center (GC) B cells, influencing differentiation to long‐lived memory B cells. Oncogenic gammaherpesviruses gain access to memory B cells by establishing latency in GC B cells. Mapping ubiquitin mechanisms in normal and infected GC B cells will define specific molecular circuits in B cells germane ...

Functional movement disorders (FMD) represent a complex and disabling entity characterized by a broad range of clinical symptoms not explained by a classical neurological disease. In 2013, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) added a clinical criterion based on incongruence and inconsistency, supported by recent literature ...

Metastatic niche shaped by host factors influences disseminated cancer cell fate
Metastasis is shaped not only by cancer cells but also by the environments they encounter. This review explores how factors such as aging, diet, the microbiome, lifestyle, and environmental exposures remodel organ‐specific niches in the lung, liver, bone, and brain, influencing where metastatic cells survive, remain dormant, or grow, and ultimately ...

Is Ross Syndrome a New Type of Synucleinopathy? A Brief Research Report
Ross syndrome (RS) is a rare peripheral autonomic system disorder characterized by tonic pupil, hyporeflexia, and segmental anhidrosis. Neuropathological studies show that RS results from the selective cholinergic nerve degeneration.

Lysyl oxidase (LOX)‐mediated remodeling of the extracellular matrix
The lysyl oxidase (LOX) family of enzymes drives extracellular matrix remodeling by oxidizing collagen, elastin, and fibronectin, promoting covalent cross‐link formation. This activity regulates tissue architecture and mechanical properties, while its dysregulation contributes to fibrosis, cardiovascular disease, glaucoma, connective tissue disorders ...

Smaller is better: nanobodies meet NMR
Nanobodies are single‐domain antigen‐binding fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies. Their small size, high stability, and exceptional specificity make nanobodies uniquely useful probes for NMR studies of protein dynamics, transient conformational states, and protein–protein interactions.

Transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins may be ‘invisible’ to direct detection yet remain accessible to solution NMR through equilibrium‐exchange measurements and pressure‐jump experiments. Complementary methods report on mass, stoichiometry, selected distance distributions, morphology, and internal packing.

The effectiveness of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) in the treatment of psychologically traumatized individuals [PDF]
Plan BThe purpose of this literature review was to investigate the effectiveness of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with traumatized individuals primarily diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In this investigation an
