A Functional 2D Carbon Allotrope Combining Nanoporous Graphene and Biphenylene Segments
The synthesis of a novel nanoporous graphene (NPG) is reported with biphenylene segments via thermal fusion of 12‐armchair porous graphene nanoribbons grown on gold surfaces. Characterization using STM, AFM, and DFT reveals low‐defect semiconducting behaviour and tunable band gaps.

Milled polycrystalline NMC811 cathode (MPC NMC) with smaller secondary particle and higher surface area had 1) greater cathode tortuosity, 2) reduced surface Ni on the cycled MPC cathodes consistent with surface reconstruction, and 3) increased Ni deposition from cathode‐anode crosstalk, manifesting in lower functional capacity and higher impedance ...

Reducing Communication Channels in MPC [PDF]
We show that the recent, highly efficient, three-party honest-majority computationally-secure MPC protocol of Araki et al. can be generalised to an arbitrary \(Q_2\) access structure. Part of the performance of the Araki et al. protocol is from the fact it does not use a complete communication network for the most costly part of the computation.

A codesign multiobjective optimization framework was developed to enhance the morphology and controller of a snake‐like robot driven by artificial muscles. It improved planar locomotion, agility, and power efficiency. The approach optimized link geometry and controller gains, revealing that shorter muscles near joints and longer linkages maximize ...

An MPC Scheme with Enhanced Active Voltage Vector Region for V2G Inverter
In this paper, a model predictive control (MPC) scheme with an enhanced active voltage vector region (AV2R) was developed and implemented to achieve better steady-state performance and lower total harmonic distortion (THD) of the output current for a ...

Nonlocomotory Robotic Strategies for Dynamic Rotation Control in Terrestrial Robots: A Review
Terrestrial robots increasingly require rapid body rotation to maintain stability and agility in complex environments. This review shows nonlocomotory rotational control strategies that operate without ground contact, including reaction wheels, tails, bars, limbs, and thrusters.
