MPL Acoustic Transponder

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1966
A description is given of a compact, low cost expendable acoustic transponder suited for use in the deep ocean. A unique signal recognition circuit is employed that gives a very high ratio of correct answers to false replies when exposed to the wide variety of noises found in the sea.

The Mpl ligand and platelet homeostasis

Acta Paediatrica, 1998
The classification of Mpl as a cytokine receptor present on cells of the platelet lineage has led to the identification and cloning of its ligand. This has resulted in a rapid accumulation of data advancing the understanding of the processes of megakaryopoiesis and thrombopoiesis and the regulation of endogenous Mpl ligand (thrombopoietin, eTPO ...

Generalized MPLS - an overview

Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Telecommunications, 2003. ConTEL 2003., 2003
GMPLS, being developed by IETF and OIF, has been proposed to address traffic engineering to a variety of networking technology, and to serve in a variety of network signaling layers, extending capabilities beyond those networks that are only packet-based. GMPLS is an extension of MPLS and it provides a control plane for devices that switch in the time,

Embedded MPLS Architecture

19th IEEE International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium, 2005
This paper presents a hardware architecture for multiprotocol label switching (MPLS). MPLS is a protocol used primarily to prioritize Internet traffic and improve bandwidth utilization. Furthermore it increases the performance of Internet applications and overall efficiency. However, most existing MPLS solutions are entirely software based.

MPLS Security

2008
Publisher Summary This chapter provides an overview of the specific security issues that affect MPLS and describes some of the techniques that have been developed to address those issues. Many of the specific issues affecting MPLS arise from the use of a label-swapping forwarding paradigm, which changes the playing field somewhat relative to the ...

MPLS Signaling

2003
Publisher Summary This chapter explores the fundamentals of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) signaling, the history of signaling, call setup procedures, traffic control measure. In networking, MPLS is express traffic that carries four additional bytes of payload.
