Impaired Cellular Immunity and Cross‐Reactive Humoral Responses to Mpox Virus in HIV‐Infected Individuals Vaccinated with Vaccinia Virus Tiantan Strain

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study examines MPXV immunity in PLWH, focusing on smallpox vaccine‐induced responses. PLWH with CD4⁺ T‐cell counts <500 cells/mm3 showed reduced VTT‐IgG, MPXV‐IgG, and NAbs, while CD4⁺ T‐cell responses were impaired at counts <350 cells/mm3. CD8⁺ T‐cell responses remained stable.
