Increased MPV Is Not a Significant Predictor for Preeclampsia During Pregnancy [PDF]
BackgroundPreeclampsia, defined as the presence of hypertension and proteinuria, is usually related with maternal and neonatal adverse effects. However, the exact predictor of preeclampsia is still lacking. Even though there are some conflicting data, mean platelet value or MPV, that is, platelet ratio with or without Doppler velocimetry was determined

Abstract The Pleistocene is a key period for understanding the evolutionary history and palaeobiogeography of the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus). The species was first documented in southeastern Iberia at the beginning of the Middle Pleistocene and appears to have rapidly spread throughout Southwestern Europe, where it was found in numerous ...

ABSTRACT This study examines the potential associations between anxiety and aggressive behaviors in college students with high‐risk adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and explores how this relationship may be influenced by bullying perpetration, applying general strain theory. A sample of 282 college students aged 19 to 29 (Mage = 21.59, SDage = 2.48;

This study developed a simple, low‐cost scoring system using routine complete blood count (CBC) and derived immune‐inflammatory indicators (LYM%, PLT, PCT, and PLT × LYM) for early diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) in 1662 children. Age‐stratified analysis confirmed that key indicators remained significantly higher in the pneumonia ...

Evaluation of Systemic Inflammatory Markers in Predicting Malignancy in Parotid Gland Tumors
Preoperative systemic inflammatory indices may assist in distinguishing benign from malignant parotid tumors. In this cohort of 259 patients undergoing parotidectomy, malignant tumors were associated with higher neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR) values, as well as larger tumor size and older age.
