Enantioselective Determination of Amphetamine-Type Stimulants in Environmental Waters Using SPE and CE-MS/MS. [PDF]
ABSTRACT The growing concern over drug abuse, particularly involving amphetamine‐type substances (ATS), has led to their monitoring in environmental waters. These chiral compounds, commonly found in river water and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) effluents, require analytical methods capable of enantiomeric discrimination, as their enantiomers can ...

Risk assessment of replacing synthetic preservatives with natural ingredients. [PDF]
Abstract The present work, developed within the EU‐FORA fellowship programme, assessed the risk assessment of vegetable by‐product extracts as natural alternatives to synthetic preservatives in food formulations. Extracts were obtained from onion peel (Allium cepa L.), zucchini (Cucurbita pepo L.) and kale (Brassica oleracea L. var.

Comparative Economic Analysis and Investigation of Micro Lubrication Over Conventional Cooling in Manufacturing [PDF]
Cutting fluid is a major concern in conventional cooling methods because of its high cost, effects on operator health, and environmental consequences. Microlubrication (MQL) is a better cooling method than traditional cooling.

Effect of MQL in high speed end-milling of Ti-6Al-4V with PVD coated tools
The high speed milling of Ti-6A-4V was investigated in order to clarify the efficiency of MQL and PVD coated tool. Cutting speed was very high 200m/min. TiAlN, TiCN, TiN, DLC and non-coated tools were used. Cooling methods were dry, wet and MQL (15mL/h).
