Novel MR-Guided Radiotherapy Elective Rotation for Radiation Oncology Trainees. [PDF]
MR-guided adaptive radiation therapy (RT) is emerging as an integral treatment modality for certain applications and is poised to become an exciting opportunity for greater treatment precision and personalization. However, this is still a relatively nascent technology and only a few institutions and programs have access to this technology for clinical ...

1.5 T MR-linac planning study to compare two different strategies of rectal boost irradiation
Purpose: To compare treatment plans of two different rectal boost strategies: up-front versus adaptive boost at the 1.5 T MR-Linac. Methods: Patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) underwent standard neoadjuvant radiochemotherapy with 50.4 Gy

MOREOVER: multiomics MR-guided radiotherapy optimization in locally advanced rectal cancer. [PDF]
Abstract Background Complete response prediction in locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) patients is generally focused on the radiomics analysis of staging MRI. Until now, omics information extracted from gut microbiota and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) have not been integrated in composite biomarkers-based models ...

Advancing the treatment of localized prostate cancer with MR-guided radiotherapy [PDF]
External beam radiotherapy (EBRT) is an important cornerstone in the treatment of localized prostate cancer. Current image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) techniques allow for more accurate and precise delivery of radiation treatment by the use of imaging before each fraction.

Expanding the use of real-time electromagnetic tracking in radiation oncology. [PDF]
In the past 10 years, techniques to improve radiotherapy delivery, such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) for both inter- and intrafraction tumor localization, and hypofractionated delivery techniques ...

Dosimetric validation of a magnetic resonance image gated radiotherapy system using a motion phantom and radiochromic film. [PDF]
PurposeMagnetic resonance image (MRI) guided radiotherapy enables gating directly on the target position. We present an evaluation of an MRI-guided radiotherapy system's gating performance using an MRI-compatible respiratory motion phantom and ...
