Lung Biopsies in Patients Referred for Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation: Diagnostic Accuracy, Diagnostic Yield, and Clinical Utility

open access: yesTransplant Infectious Disease, EarlyView.
Among patients referred for allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation with pulmonary opacities, lung biopsy provided a diagnosis in 72% of procedures and altered management in 51%. Despite a 7% major complication rate, lung biopsy frequently clarified noninfectious etiologies when bronchoscopy was inconclusive.

Prognostic Value of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Defined Extent of Surgical Resection in Dogs With Intracranial Meningiomas

open access: yesVeterinary and Comparative Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Surgery is a common treatment for intracranial meningiomas in dogs, although the prognostic impact of the extent of resection (EOR) has not been systematically evaluated. This retrospective study identified prognostic factors associated with clinical outcomes in dogs that underwent surgery and early post‐operative magnetic resonance imaging ...

Clinical introduction of MR-guided radiotherapy for esophageal cancer

open access: yes
Radiotherapy for esophageal cancer requires the use of imaging to localize and visualize the tumor. This thesis describes the use of magnetic resonance imaging in the radiotherapy treatment of patients with esophageal cancer. The first part of this thesis showed that esophageal cancer tumors are subject to position and shape changes throughout the ...

Efficacy of Multimodal Work‐Up of Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma Lymph Node Metastasis of Unknown Primary

open access: yesHead &Neck, Volume 48, Issue 6, Page 1426-1436, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) often presents with cervical lymph node metastasis, with 1%–4% of cases presenting as cancer of unknown primary (CUP). CUP poses diagnostic and therapeutic challenges and is linked to poorer survival outcomes.
