Recent Progress of Potentiating Immune Checkpoint Blockade with External Stimuli—an Industry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2020
The past decade has seen the materialization of immune checkpoint blockade as an emerging approach to cancer treatment. However, the overall response and patient survival are still modest. Various efforts to study the “cancer immunogram” have highlighted

A method to estimate probability of disease and vaccine efficacy from clinical trial immunogenicity data

open access: yesnpj Vaccines, 2021
Vaccine efficacy is often assessed by counting disease cases in a clinical trial. A new quantitative framework proposed here (“PoDBAY,” Probability of Disease Bayesian Analysis), estimates vaccine efficacy (and confidence interval) using immune response ...

Uncovering Neural Scaling Laws in Molecular Representation Learning [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Molecular Representation Learning (MRL) has emerged as a powerful tool for drug and materials discovery in a variety of tasks such as virtual screening and inverse design. While there has been a surge of interest in advancing model-centric techniques, the influence of both data quantity and quality on molecular representations is not yet clearly ...

Abnormal IgG galactosylation and arthritis in MRL‐Faslpr or MRL‐FasLgld mice are under the control of the MRL genetic background

open access: yesFEBS Letters, 2001
MRL mice bearing the lpr (Fas) or gld (Fas ligand) mutation, MRL‐Faslpr or MRL‐FasLgld , respectively, develop arthritis similar to rheumatoid arthritis, but C3H and C57BL/6 mice bearing such mutations do not. In MRL‐Faslpr mice, agalactosylated oligosaccharides in serum IgG increase significantly in comparison to MRL‐+/+ mice without arthritis.

Prednisone treatment inhibits the differentiation of B lymphocytes into plasma cells in MRL/MpSlac-lpr mice

open access: yesActa Pharmacologica Sinica, 2015
Aim:A number of evidence shows that the differentiation of B lymphocytes into plasma cells plays an important role in lupus pathogenesis. In this study we investigated how prednisone, a classical therapeutic drug for autoimmune diseases, regulated plasma

Practical experiences with a syrup feeding study design based on a new MRL guideline SANTE11956/2016 rev.9 (2018)

open access: yesJulius-Kühn-Archiv, 2020
A new study design, according to the guideline SANTE11956/2016 rev:9 (2018), was established to determine the maximum residue level (MRL) of plant protection products in honey.

Hyperparameter-free losses for model-based monocular reconstruction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This work proposes novel hyperparameter-free losses for single view 3D reconstruction with morphable models (3DMM). We dispense with the hyperparameters used in other works by exploiting geometry, so that the shape of the object and the camera pose are ...

Oocytes in Newborn MRL Mouse Testes1 [PDF]

open access: yesBiology of Reproduction, 2008
Although mammals produce either sperm or eggs depending on their sex, we found oocytes in the testes of newborn MRL/MpJ male mice. In the present study, we report the morphological characteristics of testicular oocytes, the postnatal change of oocyte number per testis, and the expression of a few oocyte-specific genes in the testes of MRL/MpJ mice. The
