On the Mean Residual Life of Cantor-Type Distributions: Properties and Economic Applications [PDF]

open access: yesAustrian Journal of Statistics, 50(4), 65-77, (2021), 2019
In this paper, we consider the mean residual life (MRL) function of the Cantor distribution and study its properties. We show that the MRL function is continuous at all points, locally decreasing at all points outside the Cantor set and has a unique fixed point which we explicitly determine. These properties readily extend to the parametric family of p-

Application of spectral and spatial processing methods to sonar images

open access: yesRadioelectronics Nanosystems Information Technologies, 2021
The paper proposes the use of the method of renormalization with limitation (MRL) for suppressing the speckle noise of images obtained using sonar. The method is tested on real images obtained by the interferometric side-view sonar.

An MRL-Based Design Solution for RIS-Assisted MU-MIMO Wireless System under Time-Varying Channels [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Utilizing Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) for Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) assisted wireless communication has been extensively researched. However, existing DRL methods either act as a simple optimizer or only solve problems with concurrent Channel State Information (CSI) represented in the training data set.

Proteins Derived From MRL/MpJ Tendon Provisional Extracellular Matrix and Secretome Promote Pro-Regenerative Tenocyte Behavior

open access: yesbioRxiv
Tendinopathies are prevalent musculoskeletal conditions that have no effective therapies to attenuate scar formation. In contrast to other adult mammals, the tendons of Murphy Roths Large (MRL/MpJ) mice possess a superior healing capacity following acute

Genetically engineered multicistronic allele of Pmel yielding highly specific CreERT2‐mediated recombination in the melanocyte lineage

open access: yesPigment Cell &Melanoma Research, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 71-77, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Genetic approaches that allow lineage tracing are essential to our future understanding of melanocytes and melanoma. To date, the approaches used to label melanocytes in mice have relied on random integration of transgenes driven by the promoters of the Tyrosinase and Dopachrome tautomerase genes, knock‐in to the Dopachrome tautomerase locus ...
