. ABSTRACT Neuroinflammation driven by microglial activation is a defining feature of Alzheimer's disease (AD), yet the molecular mechanisms sustaining this proinflammatory state remain unclear. Here, we identify the deubiquitinase OTUD7B as a critical regulator of microglial activation and AD pathology.

TOLLIP Inhibits Psoriasis Progression via Suppressing PKM2‐Mediated Glycolysis in Keratinocytes
In this study, we identify TOLLIP as a critical regulator of psoriasis pathogenesis through its modulation of glycolytic metabolism. Our findings establish the TOLLIP‐PKM2‐glycolysis axis as a key mechanism linking metabolic reprogramming to psoriasis pathogenesis, and propose TOLLIP as a promising therapeutic target.

mRNA localization: message on the move
Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, 2001Cytoplasmic messenger RNA localization is a key post-transcriptional mechanism of establishing spatially restricted protein synthesis. The characterization of cis-acting signals within localized mRNAs, and the identification of trans-acting factors that recognize these signals, has opened avenues towards identifying the machinery and mechanisms ...

Determinants of mRNA localization
Current Opinion in Cell Biology, 1992RNA localization provides a mechanism for protein targeting within developing or differentiating cells. Specific cis-acting sequences on mRNA mediate this process. Such 'localizer' or 'zipcode' nucleic acid sequences have been restricted to the 3' untranslated region of several mRNAs.

Dendritic localization of mRNAs
Current Opinion in Neurobiology, 1998The dendritic localization of mRNAs has been proposed to underlie the structural and functional polarity of neurons, as well as certain aspects of synaptic plasticity. Even though there is no conclusive evidence that such a localization is a physiological requirement, studies of mRNA localization in relation to function in other cell types and recent ...

mRNA localization and the cytoskeleton
Current Opinion in Cell Biology, 2004mRNA localization is a widespread post-transcriptional mechanism for targeting protein synthesis to specific cellular sites. It is involved in the generation of cell polarity, asymmetric segregation of cell fate determinants and germ cell specification.

Control of cytoplasmic mRNA localization
Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, 2011mRNA localization is a mechanism used by various organisms to control the spatial and temporal production of proteins. This process is a highly regulated event that requires multiple cis- and trans-acting elements that mediate the accurate localization of target mRNAs.

Regulation of local mRNA translation
Current Opinion in Cell Biology, 2004Regulated local mRNA translation is one mechanism cells employ to concentrate proteins in particular locations. However, cells use many different strategies to accomplish this task; for example, some mRNAs are destroyed in regions where they are not wanted, other mRNAs are repressed in areas where their translation would be deleterious, and yet other ...

Pathways for mRNA localization in the cytoplasm
Trends in Biochemical Sciences, 2006Studies of the intracellular localization of mRNA have clearly demonstrated that certain subsets of mRNA are concentrated in discrete locations within the cytoplasm. Localization is one aspect of the post-transcriptional control of gene expression, and is intertwined with the translation and turnover of mRNA to achieve the goal of local protein ...

The cytoskeleton and mRNA localization
Current Opinion in Cell Biology, 1992The localization of mRNA appears to facilitate protein sorting, so that proteins are synthesized in specific cellular regions. The spatial information on the mRNA may be transduced by proteins that recognize specific localizing sequences on the 3' end and then chaperone the mRNA, presumably along filaments, to its destination. Additional sequences such
