The use and efficacy of mucolytic agents.
A total of 100 patients were tested with different mucolytic agents. In patients with acute obstructive airway disease pancreatic dornase and acetyl-L-cysteine (Airbron) showed excellent mucolytic activity. With Alevaire and Ascoxal we were unable to demonstrate any mucolytic action.
