Application of Multi-Attribute Utility Theory to Measure Social Preferences for Health States [PDF]

open access: yesOperations Research, 1982
A four-attribute health state classification system designed to uniquely categorize the health status of all individuals two years of age and over is presented. A social preference function defined over the health state classification system is required.

Determining Effective Subjects Online Learning (Study and Examination) with Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) Method

open access: yesJurnal RESTI (Rekayasa Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi), 2020
The Corona pandemic in Indonesia forced the learning system into a drastic change into online learning. Many campuses that were previously quite comfortable with face-to-face learning were forced to be helpless because they had never prepared a backup ...

Automated Probabilistic System Architecture Analysis in the Multi-Attribute Prediction Language (MAPL): Iteratively Developed using Multiple Case Studies

open access: yesComplex Systems Informatics and Modeling Quarterly, 2017
The Multi-Attribute Prediction Language (MAPL), an analysis metamodel for non-functional qualities of system architectures, is introduced. MAPL features automate analysis in five non-functional areas: service cost, service availability, data accuracy ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...
