YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Wear Prediction and Chaos Identification of Rigid Flexible Coupling Multi-Link Mechanisms with Clearance

open access: yesLubricants
Traditional revolute clearance joints assume that the shape of the contact surface of the joint is regular and ignores the effects of wear, which reduces the prediction accuracy of dynamics models.

Flapping Wing Multi-body Dynamic Simulation

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2015
AbstractThe previous study on modelling of the flapping wing micro air vehicle used to concentrate on thecomplicated aerodynamic computation and the research on the dynamic simulation is often constrained to frequently use the oversimplified 6-degree of freedom (DOF) rigid body equations. However, the motion of the wing is seriously interfered with the

Refinement of amino‐acid conformation vs. difference density maps in time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography data analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Development of Real-time Remote Driving Simulator based on Multi-body Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes한국정밀공학회지
Autonomous robots are commonly operated on rough roads. Thus, it is essential to predict their dynamic characteristics. Even though it is possible to use real hardware to acquire a robot’s dynamic characteristics, this requires a significant amount of ...

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Development of an integrated engineering education model using multi-body closed system modeling, computational analysis, and signal processing analysis

open access: yesMechanics & Industry
In this study, free high-level programming languages, GNU Octave and Python, are used to model the mechanical part simulating the periodic signal generated in the mechanical system and to link with the signal processing unit that analyzes the generated ...

Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Dynamic Modeling and Flight Performance Analysis for Large Bionic Ornithopters Considering Structural Flexibility

open access: yesNanjing Hangkong Hangtian Daxue Xuebao
The flapping wing of large bionic ornithopters (LBOs) has obvious flexible deformation during the flapping motion, which is difficult for aerodynamic analysis.
