Isomer Engineering of NIR‐II Aggregation‐Induced Emission for the Theranostics of MRSA‐Induced Abscess

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
This work presents a positional isomer engineering strategy to create a microenvironment‐tolerant NIR‐II AIEgen. The para‐isomer exhibits optimized excited‐state dynamics, enabling potent Type‐I photodynamic activity under hypoxia along with photothermal conversion.

Contezolid in the Treatment of Multidrug‐Resistant Tuberculous Meningitis: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Multidrug‐resistant tuberculous meningitis (MDR‐TBM) has a high mortality rate, and treatment options are limited. Linezolid is recommended for refractory cases but often causes intolerable adverse reactions such as peripheral neuropathy. Contezolid, a novel oxazolidinone, has shown better safety profiles in preclinical and early clinical ...

Prevalence of Pre-Extensively Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (Pre XDR-TB) and Extensively Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (XDR-TB) among Pulmonary Multidrug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) at a Tertiary Care Center in Mumbai [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, 2016
Background: India is a high burden country for Tuberculosis (TB). As per the World Health Organization (WHO) statistics, 24000 cases of Multi Drug Resistant (MDR) TB were diagnosed in India in 2014.

The evaluation of the integrated client-centred intervention programme (ICIP) for clients with MDR-TB at DP Marais Hospital in the Western Cape [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Philosophiae Doctor - PhDAlthough TB is a curable communicable disease, poor adherence to TB treatment is a major barrier to TB control in South Africa as it increases the risks of morbidity, mortality and drug resistance at individual and community ...

Ferroptosis in breast cancer: From adipocyte–immune–iron regulation to therapeutic application

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Ferroptosis in breast cancer is regulated by an integrated adipocyte–immune–iron network rather than by tumour‐intrinsic pathways alone. Adipocyte‐derived lipid substrates and redox metabolites, immune‐cell‐mediated cytokine signalling and iron‐dependent oxidative stress collectively shape a dynamic ferroptosis ecosystem that can shift tumours towards ...

Sequence analysis of the rifampicin resistance determining region (RRDR) of rpoB gene in multidrug resistance confirmed and newly diagnosed tuberculosis patients of Punjab, Pakistan.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
Molecular screening of new patients suspected for TB could help in the effective control of TB in Pakistan as it is a high TB burden country. It will be informative to understand the prevalence of multi drug resistance for a better drug regimen ...
