Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Feature-Level Multi-focus Image Fusion using Neural Network and Image Enhancement

open access: yes, 2012
Image Processing applications have grown vastly in real world. Commonly due to limited depth of optical field lenses, it becomes inconceivable to obtain an image where all the objects are in focus.

Focus on opportunities as a boundary condition of the relationship between job control and work engagement: A multi-sample, multi-method study

open access: yes, 2013
The concept of focus on opportunities describes how many new goals, options, and possibilities employees believe to have in their personal future at work.

Multi-objective optimization and gray association for multi-focus image fusion

open access: yesJournal of Algorithms & Computational Technology, 2016
Multi-objective optimization and gray association are classical technologies in intelligent system. In this paper, a novel multi-focus image fusion method based on the technology is proposed.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Multi focus acoustic field generation using Dammann gratings for phased array transducers

open access: yesResults in Physics
Phased array transducers can shape acoustic fields for versatile manipulation; however, generating multiple focal points typically involves complex optimization.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Multi-focus image fusion using multi-scale image decomposition and saliency detection

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2018
In this paper, we develop a new multi-focus image fusion method based on saliency detection and multi-scale image decomposition. Proposed method is very efficient, since the visual saliency explored in this algorithm is able to emphasize visually ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
