Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

An Interactive Fuzzy Satisficing Method for Fuzzy Random Multiobjective 0-1 Programming Problems through Probability Maximization Using Possibility [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, we focus on multiobjective 0-1 programming problems under the situation where stochastic uncertainty and vagueness exist at the same time.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

A Multi-Level Multi-Objective Integer Quadratic Programming Problem Under Pentagonal Neutrosophic Environment

open access: yesFuzzy Information and Engineering, 2023
The aim of this paper is to propose an algorithm to solve and enhance a multi-level multi-objective integer quadratic programming problem (MLMOIQPP) under a single-valued Pentagonal Neutrosophic environment applied to the objective functions.

An evolutionary programming algorithm for multi-objective optimisation [PDF]

open access: yesThe 2003 Congress on Evolutionary Computation, 2003. CEC '03., 2004
This paper describes a new evolutionary programming optimisation algorithm and a method of its application to multi-objective optimization problems. Computational results are presented demonstrating the algorithm's ability to find Pareto-optimal solutions for a real-world problem in radio frequency component design.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

A Tutorial on Evolutionary Multi-Objective Optimization (EMO) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Many real-world search and optimization problems are naturally posed as non-linear programming problems having multiple objectives. Due to lack of suitable solution techniques, such problems are artificially converted into a single-objective problem

On the Use of Semantics in Multi-objective Genetic Programming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Research on semantics in Genetic Programming (GP) has increased dramatically over the last number of years. Results in this area clearly indicate that its use in GP can considerably increase GP performance. Motivated by these results, this paper investigates for the first time the use of Semantics in Muti-Objective GP, within the well-known NSGA-II ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Maximizing energy-efficiency in multi-relay OFDMA cellular networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This contribution presents a method of obtaining the optimal power and subcarrier allocations that maximize the energy-efficiency (EE) of a multi-user, multi-relay, orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) cellular network.
